It is wrongly believed that intimate hygiene must be rigorous from puberty onwards. However, young girls can experience vulvar, vaginal irritations or gynecological yeast infections from the age of 6. Irritations are common in adulthood. It is important to use a gentle and skin-friendly hygiene product. Corine de Farme has developed a soothing intimate shower for irritated mucous membranes. Benign vulvar and vaginal irritations in young girls are characterized by redness, white discharge, and burning during urination. Around age 6 or earlier, parents begin to allow the child to be completely autonomous during bathing. The child may skip intimate hygiene, which can lead to germ development. Before puberty, a child's vulva has no protective barrier: no labia minora, no hair, no vaginal flora, and an alkaline pH. Urine and feces can promote germ growth. Moreover, the presence of oxyures (worms) can cause vulvar infection and itching. Even if it seems easier for the child, avoid wipes and washcloths for intimate hygiene. Care to prevent irritations With children, it is important to listen if they complain of pain and to naturally ask them to wash the intimate area without pressure. Corine de Farme has designed an anti-sting intimate gel with calendula and vegetable glycerin for children and adults, soothing and hydrating at the same time. Intimate hygiene is done manually, with a small amount of product and thorough rinsing. Women can also opt for the soothing intimate foam, with a light and gentle texture. Intimate hygiene is quick and the skin is nourished, softened, and protected, thanks to cotton flower and saccharide isomerate."
