The intimate flora has a delicate balance that must be preserved through rigorous hygiene. It is able to fight germs on its own, thanks to a self-defense mechanism.

If a genital disease develops quickly, there may be early warning symptoms. The most common is vaginal dryness, linked to the absence of the vagina’s natural lubrication, not to be confused with lubrication during sexual intercourse. The reasons are varied: hormonal changes, unsuitable contraception, stress, smoking, etc.

An inappropriate soap: what are the risks for intimate flora?

Genital diseases are common in women. If treated quickly, they only cause temporary discomfort. If the flora is unbalanced, the risk of contracting one of these diseases increases:

             - Vulvitis is an inflammation of the vulva, causing burning and itching. The vulva appears raw: red and swollen, it is painful to the touch.

             - Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina, causing fever and pain. Often associated with vulvitis, it can occur after germs are transmitted via water (pool or sea), poor toilet hygiene, or during sexual intercourse.

             - A genital yeast infection is most often caused by the growth of a fungus on the genitals. Both men and women can contract candidiasis. The symptoms are simple: itching, burning, tingling, and whitish deposits on the intimate area.

The properties of our intimate soap

Each area of the body has its own pH. To give you an idea, a product can have 3 types of pH:

              - A neutral pH of 7.

             - An acidic pH, below 7.

             - An alkaline pH, above 7.

The vaginal area has an acidic pH. No product is necessary, as internal cleansing is strongly discouraged. The vulvar area, however, should be cleaned with an alkaline soap. This type of product is highly recommended in case of genital infection.
