Monoi

But where does this fabulous oil come from?
Monoi is a typical product of the islands of French Polynesia, used in Europe mainly as a tanning oil. Monoi oil tends to solidify when the temperature drops. In fact, below 20° Monoi solidifies, without altering its properties. To use this fragrant oil all year round, warming it up is essential.
A recipe passed down from the grandmothers of our grandmothers' grandmothers… well, you get the idea
Tiare flowers from Tahiti, picked at the bud stage, are used no later than the day after they are harvested. They are then macerated in refined Coprah oil for ten days, with at least ten flowers per liter of oil. At the end of this period, the macerate is decanted, filtered, and then a natural antioxidant is added.
And why is it good for our skin?
Monoi is the perfect active ingredient to hydrate and bring softness even to the driest skin. It helps to perfect the tan of olive or already tanned skin while providing progressive and long-lasting hydration.
