Almond Blossom

The flowers of the Almond tree are pale pinkish-white and appear before the tree’s leaves. They are numerous, but only one in three will produce a fruit. In the language of flowers, it is associated with eternal love, gentleness, and tenderness.

Cultivated since Antiquity, it was introduced to Europe by the Greeks and established in southern France a few centuries BC. The Almond tree thrives in mild, sunny climates and is widely grown throughout the Mediterranean basin. This tree is the first to bloom at the end of winter, and its flowering heralds the renewal of nature.
