Baby is fragile and requires especially careful daily care. The nose is a part of their anatomy that needs a lot of attention. In fact, babies cannot easily breathe through their mouths yet, and even a minor blockage caused by nasal secretions can become a real nightmare for parents. What product should you use to care for your baby's nose, and what care should you provide?

Daily care
Whether your baby has a cold or not, they need a product to clean their nose. But if there is no congestion, a simple superficial cleaning is enough. For this, nothing beats natural methods: just roll a small piece of cotton wool between your clean fingers and soak it in saline solution. Gently insert it into the nostril and rotate it softly at the entrance of their little nose. Do not use the same cotton for both nostrils. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly before taking care of the second nostril in the same way.

Breathing is difficult
If you notice that your baby is starting to have a blocked nose, you can replace the saline solution with sterile, demineralized seawater. But for this, you need to act differently. Lay your baby down and turn their head to the side. In the upper nostril, introduce the saline with gentle pressure until it flows out of the lower nostril along with the secretions. Your baby probably won't like it and may fuss, but remember, it's for their own good!
