How to take care of your baby’s hair?

Until about 4 months of age, wash your baby’s hair during their bath. In fact, a baby’s skin sweats and produces too much sebum; this is a way to prevent cradle cap. If you don’t bathe them every day, a simple rinse with water or a damp washcloth is enough. After the age of one, wash their hair two to three times a week unless, of course, they get dirty.
When you use shampoo during the bath, choose one that is pH neutral, gentle, suitable for the baby’s delicate skin, and does not sting the eyes. “2-in-1” cleansing gels are also effective and safe.
Gently rub your baby’s scalp with the pads of your fingers without worrying about the fontanelle, which is very strong, then rinse the hair from the forehead to the nape of the neck using a bottle filled with bath water, which ensures the water temperature remains constant. With a shower, in addition to the temperature issue, you risk scaring your child; for these same reasons, do not use a hair dryer, but instead dry their scalp well by massaging it with a towel.
Then, brush the hair with a soft brush.
Hair care and bath time are special moments of contact and bonding between you: time, gentleness, and tenderness.
