Intimate hygiene for women: which specific product?

Being a woman requires specific care that you cannot neglect. Intimate hygiene is a simple but essential gesture to perform daily. Even though it is considered that the vagina can clean itself, it is important to use a specific product to avoid irritating or harming the mucous membranes. In fact, your regular shower gel does not respect its natural pH and you risk irritation.

Which specific product?
For intimate hygiene, women should not use harsh products. Forget about using shower gel on this part of your body. Its pH is too alkaline and would disrupt your vaginal flora. Try from a young age to keep these two washes separate: one for your body and one for your intimate area.

The most important thing is to properly clean the vulva area and the area between the buttocks. You should wash with water and a specific hygiene product (do not use soap) that respects the pH and flora.

After washing and lathering, you should rinse thoroughly and especially dry the area well to avoid moisture build-up (which is particularly important during your period, hence the need to change your pad every 4 hours or so).

Good tips to avoid vaginal yeast infections
To avoid any risk of vaginal yeast infection, in addition to intimate hygiene practices, wash your underwear at 60°C. It is also essential to change your underwear every day to prevent infections.
