Mattifying Sunscreen: The Benefits

A mattifying sunscreen has a perfectly invisible powdery finish that protects the skin. It’s not the texture of the product that determines its effectiveness, but its SPF index, which should be between 25 and 50.

Mattifying sunscreen alone cannot guarantee a shine-free complexion all day long. Skin cleansing should be done twice daily, with a gel, micellar water, or even a cleansing oil. Contrary to popular belief, oil does not leave a greasy film on the skin or any trace of makeup, even waterproof!

It is important to apply, every day, products suited for oily skin such as an absorbing serum before a mattifying day cream, a makeup base, or a treatment to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.

Choose light tinted creams to set with a compact powder or a matte foundation whose hold is ensured with a loose powder. During the day, before reapplying powder, it is recommended to remove excess sebum with powdered blotting papers.
