To tan all summer long, everyone has their own tricks. There are those who prepare weeks in advance, those who swear by the beach and the bikini/swimsuit combo, and the addicts, tanned all year round and ready to do anything to keep their beautiful glow. For these, but also for everyone else, Corine de Farme has formulated a tanning oil with Monoï de Tahiti, ylang-ylang, and water resistance.

Discover Monoi de Tahiti Tanning Oil and Learn How to Use It

Tanning oil, a simple definition

Tanning oil, as its name suggests, is a fatty substance originally intended to make manual milking of cows easier for farmers. Today, more precious and sophisticated, it is mainly used for accelerated tanning.

The principle is as follows: the fatty agents reflect UV rays on the surface of the skin and create a magnifying effect that visibly speeds up the change in skin color and thus, the intensity of the tan.

For years, women and men have used it to achieve an intense, almost brown, and very recognizable tan.

However, since we now know the harmful effects of the sun and UV rays on the skin, it is very important to remember that Monoï de Tahiti tanning oil offers no protection. Unlike anti-UV sunscreens that filter and delay the effects of the sun (overheating, sunburn, burns, etc.), tanning oil amplifies and accelerates them.

That’s why we recommend using it only if you are already well tanned or if you naturally have dark skin. In all other cases, it is better to apply sun protection suited to your skin type and avoid exposure during the hottest hours.

Monoi de Tahiti Tanning Oil, a Delight for the Senses

The charm of tanning oil also lies in its fragrance. Long associated with monoi, it easily evokes warm sand, the beach, turquoise waters, and holidays.

Its rich, melting texture allows you to include it in all your summer wellness rituals. After the beach, after the pool, after a shower, or before going out in the evening, apply a generous layer and massage it in well for satiny skin.

Did you know? Corine de Farme tanning oil contains natural ingredients that are beneficial for your skin: coconut oil, tiaré flower extract, sunflower seed oil, and vitamin E, to name a few.

The Ancestral Benefits of Monoi for the Skin

Monoi is obtained by macerating tiaré flowers in coconut oil. As a result, its benefits for the skin are numerous. The fatty acids in coconut oil, for example, provide intense hydration.

Vitamin E protects and regenerates the epidermis, while antioxidants help prevent skin aging.

Finally, saturated fatty acids and tiaré leaf provide real relief from common irritations and minor redness, especially in summer.

Also worth noting—and this is a little Corine de Farme tip—is that Monoi de Tahiti is also excellent for protecting, nourishing, and repairing hair. Applied as a mask or an oil bath to the lengths, it works wonders.
