Pregnancy is a very delicate period in a woman’s life. In addition to her body changing, a pregnant woman also experiences significant hormonal upheavals. All these changes require different and stricter hygiene measures. Here are some useful and simple tips to follow for your daily hygiene.

Daily washing

Throughout pregnancy, you will have more vaginal discharge, which is normal and should be left alone. However, if this discharge has an unpleasant odor, it means you have an infection and should consult your gynecologist quickly.

So during these 9 months, you should wash as usual, daily, but without irritating this very sensitive area. We recommend washing 1 to 2 times a day. Use a product that contains lactic acid, so as not to destroy the fatty layer that protects the mucous membranes.

Which products should you use for intimate hygiene?

During pregnancy, the pH becomes less acidic, so the genital organs are less protected and more vulnerable. They are more prone to infections. Regular soap is not suitable for intimate hygiene because its pH is too harsh. It’s best to ask your gynecologist about using a disinfectant cleansing solution to avoid disturbing the vagina’s natural balance.
