Cosmetics and pregnancy: why gentle products?
Due to all the hormonal changes associated with pregnancy, your skin is already quite stressed (acne, dryness, itching...)... So there's no need to add more! Not to mention the famous stretch marks that may appear against your will. The best approach according to dermatologists is to prioritize the use of very gentle products. You will recognize them by these mentions: « pH neutral », « soap-free », « hypoallergenic », « paraben-free »... When purchasing your shampoos, moisturizing creams, cleansing gels, makeup... Make sure to choose them based on these mentions.
Cosmetics and pregnancy: vigilance is required!
Obviously, nothing is forbidden at this level... But still, some rumors circulate about certain substances considered dangerous for the fetus, or even carcinogenic... Do not tempt fate and prefer to avoid these components during the nine months of your pregnancy: parabens (propylparaben, butylparaben...), phthalates (DBP or DEHP), aluminum, artificial musk, phenoxyethanol or glycol ether, methylisothiazolone, formaldehyde (often in dyes).
Similarly, for hair removal, prefer the simple razor or wax depilation... Avoid coloring and depilatory creams.
Cosmetics and pregnancy do not necessarily go hand in hand... Take no risks and choose safe, gentle products without aggressive substances for your skin and your baby.
