Which sunscreen for a 9-month-old baby?
Baby is starting to crawl and becoming a handful! At 9 months, a baby’s skin is still delicate and the sun can be dangerous for them! Even if you don’t expose them directly, if they swim and wiggle around under the parasol, it’s enough to cause skin damage from the sun’s rays. That’s why it’s essential to regularly apply sunscreen. But be careful, they need a product that’s suitable! Here are some tips

But be careful, they need a product that’s suitable! Here are some tips :)
Which sunscreen should you use?
We often think that using a product with maximum protection is enough for a 9-month-old baby; that’s not true! The skin of a 9-month-old baby is not the same as an adult’s and their needs are different.
You need to choose a sunscreen specifically for babies that protects against UV-A, UV-B, and infrared rays. Ideally, it should be waterproof, even though you should still reapply it at least every hour!
As your baby starts playing in the sand and moving around, we recommend a product that doesn’t stick to sand. The latest generations of creams offer a fluid texture that absorbs quickly without being sticky!
To make application easier without upsetting your baby, you can opt for a colored sunscreen, which can be fun :)
If your baby starts to get a little tan, you can slightly lower the SPF after several swims, but never use a protection factor below 40.
Some good tips to follow
A 9-month-old baby is not yet a child and cannot use a sunscreen meant for children. So make sure to choose a product labeled “baby.” It will be fragrance-free and contain a mineral screen to avoid allergies.
Even if your baby loves playing in the sun, try to be firm and don’t let them stay under the rays, especially during the hottest hours (between noon and 4 pm). We recommend keeping a t-shirt, sunglasses, and a hat that covers the neck on your baby, even when swimming.
