Which sunscreen to protect your baby’s skin?
Baby has delicate skin and exposing them to the sun is, most often, a very bad idea! Did you know that sun exposure is strictly forbidden before the age of 3? In fact, their skin is not yet able to protect itself by producing melanin, which gives your skin its color and that lovely golden glow. However, this doesn't mean you can't let them swim, but you must be extremely careful!

Which sunscreen should you use to protect your baby's skin?
You need to apply special baby sunscreen to their entire face and not forget hidden areas like the ears. But for the eyes, they should wear sunglasses suitable for their age with UV filters to block the sun's rays. A sunscreen specially formulated for the face is suitable for the very thin skin around the eyes but is not enough to protect the eyes themselves.
What kind of protection?
Your baby's skin cannot defend itself yet, and even if you don't leave them in the sun, just letting them swim can cause damage. So the general rule: no playing on the sand in the sun!
Also, if you want to let them swim, you must absolutely avoid the hottest hours, that is, between noon and 4 p.m. Don't forget to apply sunscreen and, above all, make sure they wear a hat and a t-shirt. Thinking that your baby is safe in the water is a dangerous misconception—the effect of reflection is even more dangerous!
