If I apply three times more SPF 10 milk, do I have the same protection as with SPF 30?

There’s no need to pile on the layers; stacking them doesn’t multiply your protection. However, applying too little lotion can reduce its effectiveness.

There’s no need to pile on the layers; stacking them doesn’t multiply your protection. However, applying too little lotion can reduce its effectiveness.

Ideally, you should apply the same amount used during testing when the product was formulated, which is 2mg per cm2 of skin, or about 6 teaspoons of body cream for an average adult.

Note: halving the amount of cream can lead to a reduction of two-thirds in protection.
