Cornflower

But where does this lovely flower come from?
The Cornflower, with its Latin name ‘Centaurea cyanus’, is a herbaceous plant from the Asteraceae family, annual or biennial, widespread throughout Europe and in western Asia, where it is believed to originate. Since the Middle Ages, Cornflower water has been used as a cosmetic thanks to its soothing and calming properties, especially beneficial for the eyes.
And why is it good for our skin?
Softening and regenerating, Cornflower is ideal for caring for irritated and sensitive skin. Thanks to its refreshing effects, it is particularly appreciated in eye care products (lotions, makeup removers, etc.). Cornflower is also recommended in toning lotions for tired and dull skin.
Our difference: a 100% natural extract!
Extraction is done by macerating the plants in an exclusively natural solvent. A concentration step by vacuum evaporation then allows these solvents to be eliminated. The extracts obtained are then dried by zeodration, an innovative drying technology that does not denature the active ingredients, then solubilized in a vegetable-origin glycerin base. The extract is then titrated in order to guarantee the plant’s activity in active molecules.
